Anthropology/ Biology - Clinical Assistant Professor


The Departments of Anthropology and Biology at the University at Albany seek to fill a joint line at the clinical assistant professor level (nontenure track) to teach in the Human Biology major, a large applied health major. The incumbent will teach courses in the Human Biology major including the two-semester class in Anatomy and Physiology (lecture sections), and Human Population Biology, as well as other lower division courses preferably in the areas of Human Genetics, and/or Microbiology. Additionally, the incumbent will be expected to be involved in student mentoring and service-related activities in the Human Biology
program.

The position is defined as a teaching position (nontenure track, 10 month appointment) and the incumbent will teach three courses per semester. The initial appointment will be for two years, followed by ongoing three year
contracts.

Requirements:
• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Anthropology or Biology from a university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
• Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse population.
